Stoelting is pleased to announce a milestone in the company’s history. April 10, 2005 marked our 100th year in business. Stoelting has proudly served customers around the world for the past century. We attribute this longevity to the quality, dependability, and performance of our equipment, along with an experienced sales & customer support staff, backed by Stoelting's outstanding warranty. We celebrate a Century of Stoelting Excellence in 2005, and salute our customers who have supported us through the years.

A brief history of Stoelting follows:
In 1905 brothers Otto and Adolf Stoelting left the family farm and joined Gottlieb Simon and Louis Ebeling of the Simon Hardware and Manufacturing Company in Kiel. Although their main business was selling conventional hardware, the company also operated a sheet metal shop, fabricating watering tanks for area farmers and cheesemakers. The company was changed to Stoelting Brothers Company in 1905 when Gottlieb Simon sold his interest to the two brothers. At the time, a third brother, Gustav, joined the company.

Stoelting Brothers Company grew along with Wisconsin’s cheese and dairy industry. Full-scale production of cheesemaking equipment began in 1920, and the retail hardware business was discontinued. In the late 1930’s Stoelting started a second division when it was contracted to engineer and build a machine to dispense soft serve ice cream for the Home Made Ice Cream Company, which eventually became International Dairy Queen®. During the early 1940’s Stoelting began to design and build conveyorized milk can washers for use by cheesemakers. This marked the beginning of an entirely new product line of industrial cleaning equipment, and a third division, which was expanded in mid 1999 when Stoelting acquired the assets of the former Lewis Corporation, a prominent manufacturer of ultrasonic cleaning equipment.

In 2002, Polar Ware Company, together with Sheboygan business investor David Sachse acquired Stoelting, Inc. Founded in 1907 and privately held, Polar Ware is a leading global producer of deep-drawn stainless steel components. Recently Stoelting also acquired partial interest in Spray Processes Ltd. of the U.K., worldwide specialists in spray dryers, fluidized bed dryers, falling film evaporators, and related equipment.

Today, Stoelting, LLC (A Polar Ware Company) consists of three divisions: Process Equipment Division (Cheesemaking & Specialty Process Eq.), Commercial Equipment Division (Soft Serve, Shake, and Slush/Cocktail Equipment), and Industrial Products Division (Aqueous Parts Cleaning Equipment). Stoelting employs over 170 people. Manufacturing facilities consist of 134,000 square feet of corporate office and manufacturing facility located on a 55-acre site outside of Kiel, Wisconsin. Products are purchased from over 700 suppliers and over 6,000 customers are proudly served around the world. Stoelting, LLC has earned a reputation as a manufacturer of commercial and industrial products, state-of-the-art engineering, uncompromising quality, and dedicated employees.
