Technical Service Rep - Foodservice Equipment
Excellent opportunity exists to assume responsibilities as a Technical Service Representative in our Foodservice Equipment Division. This position will provide technical phone support for customers. At the busiest time of the year, this position will involve nonstop technical phone call problem resolution. Technical service representatives also provide support for trade shows. When service calls become costly to the end user, the technical service representatives sell new freezers to existing customers. Technical service provides sales support for new products; they also sell the technical features for our products to new customers.
Technical Service Representatives responsibilities include:
- Answering technical calls from customers and providing technical support to the field to resolve machine down situations.
- Instructing distributors, sales, customers, and service technicians
- Expediting parts and equipment deliveries
- Assisting the credit department with customer credit problems
- Coordinate delivery, installation, startup and training for new equipment
- Answer questions regarding the features and benefits of our products
- Participate in design and production problem resolutions
- Support sales managers and provide organization wide communication
- Travel is minimal and may involve 2-3 trade shows per year
Technical Service Representative Abilities and Attributes to include:
- Strong Communications Skills
- Proficieny in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Technical Aptitude
- Refrigeration background a plus
- Knowledge of frozen dessert and beverage equipment a plus
- Experience as a soft serve freezer technician a plus
- Experience writing service and owners manuals a plus
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be customer oriented
- Timely and professional follow-up of customer requests
- Associates degree a plus
